Listed Building Cleaning West Tower (now a hotel) was built in 1785 as for a shipping magnate called Lord Alfred Holt. The famous tower was incorporated into the house so he could observe his ships entering the docks at Liverpool. It also has fantastic views over the Mersey estuary and as far as the mountains of North Wales. It is now a country house hotel and restaurant and the lodge is a private residence.
Our job was to sympathetically clean the coach house so it would not look “too clean”. Due to the softness of the sandstone we opted to clean the whole building by hand.
This was the finished result of the building clean.
