We were asked to clean and remove algae from Maricourt Catholic High School, in Maghull, Merseyside, United Kingdom. Formerly Mater Misericordiae Grammar School, it is one of two secondary schools administered by the Sisters of Mercy in Merseyside. Formerly home of Frank Hornby (15 May 1863 – 21 September 1936), who was an English inventor, businessman, and politician. He also founded the British toy company Meccano Ltd in 1908. The building itself being listed and the roof being made of clay rosemary tiles would not allow for “harsh” cleaning methods.
